“A Knitted Veil” lace shawl

My latest knitting project has been “A Knitted Veil” from Victorian Lace Today by Jane Sowerby.

I couldn’t decide between “A Knitted Veil” and “Melon” — they’re both so beautiful — so I see another shawl in my future.

The entire book is so nice — it’s filled with historical patterns that are well photographed.

I’m into the third repeat of the body lace with five more to go, so this will probably be taking through the rest of spring.

This looks absolutely gorgeous! I’ve been trying to decide whether to buy this book or not, I can’t work out whether I will actually use any of the shawls that I would made. Can I be cheeky and ask how you wear them?

    Thanks

Gorgeous! What do you use for your life line?

The life lines are just the cheapest, thin acrylic yarn.
