The Two Looks of Louis

Did I score or what?! Karla makes wonderful needle felted animals and she did a portrait of Louis in felt!

We’re going to do a trade — she felted Louis and I’m going to do a knit version of one of her dogs. As you can see, she has fulfilled her part of the bargain . . .

. . . and gee whiz, could she have raised the bar any higher?!

(yes, this is the same Karla that illustrated “Sakes Alive! A Cattle Drive”)

It’s just so charming — she even did the black slash that travels across Louis’ right shoulder.

I think I need to get busy! It good to have creative friends . . . 🙂

I know, I scored big time with this!! Gina, hopefully, I’ll get inspired and come up with something . . . soon!

  4. Eeek! That’s BEAUTIFUL!!

My Gramma used to needle felt, and I have all her tools here. I may pick up on it someday, and try it. I love how it’s using fiber (One of my favorite things!) as a medium for sculpting (Another one of my favorite things)

    AMAZING work she does.
